Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain Veneers Thousand Oaks

Porcelain Veneers are thin pieces of ceramic that bond directly onto the surfaces of your teeth. The procedure for applying them is very simple and these small changes can lead to some amazing improvements to your smile. Applying custom veneers requires a high degree of technical precision as well as attention to cosmetic detail. We regularly apply veneers and design each case separately to match and improve each patient's smile.

Will they look like normal teeth?

Yes. The veneers that our doctors use are virtually undetectable and highly resistant to coffee, tea and cigarette stains. While natural tooth enamel is still stronger, the porcelain used for veneers is still very strong and can allow you to live your life without restrictions.

How durable are porcelain veneers?

With proper care, porcelain veneers can enhance your smile for well over a decade. Dr. Saremi and Dr. Johnstone use only the highest quality porcelain on their patients. With a state-of-the-art facility, they rely on the most advanced systems and materials available to doctors today. Use your teeth for food not bottle openers! Refraining from using your veneers for things other than consumption to prevent accidental damage and to extend their lifespan. It is possible to replace veneers in the case that they do break, simply reach out to our office and schedule an appointment to have them fixed.

How does it work?

We prepare the tooth by creating small abrasions along the damaged area and apply a special bonding material. Plastic resin is then applied to the material, and our outstanding doctors are able to shape the resin to match the tooth itself.

Considerations

Dental Bonding is a standard procedure and can often be completed in one office visit. The results are amazing however, since the resin material used for bonding is not as strong as your natural tooth enamel, there is a chance that it may break, stain or chip away. Bonding typically can last up to 3-5 years before repair is needed.
